Leblond Lathe

A lathe is a machine that consists of a rotating chuck and a cutting tool that is used for machining round steel into a finished round part that typically has varying diameters and other part features such as grooves, knurling, or threads. Our lathe has multiple speeds that it can be set to, giving us the ability to machine parts with different diameters, as well as from different materials that require varying cutting speeds.

We use our lathe for a variety of machining operations, including but not limited to:

  • Turning cutter bodies for carbide tipped tools
  • Modifying existing tooling
  • Turning custom arbors for non-standard tooling
